In occasion of its 5th year of Residencies, Palazzo Rinaldi is delighted to announce its first en plein air painting contest, inspired by our location in the heart of Italy’s largest national park: the beautiful Parco Nazionale del Pollino. All Visual Artists attending in the week 2nd to 9th August 2012 are invited to take part.  There is no entry fee.

In occasion of its 5th year in operation as one of Italy’s leading Artists’ Residencies, Palazzo Rinaldi is pleased to announce its first en plein air painting contest. Both Italian and International visual artists working in any medium and technique and Resident at Palazzo Rinaldi during the week above may take part in the contest.

Participating Artists will be painting outdoor themes in the idyllic hilltop village of Noepoli and the surrounding area of Pollino, Italy’s largest National Park, and will have the opportunity to enter one artwork each for the attention of the judging panel.

All entered works will be competing for a fully subsidised 7-night Residency bursary at Palazzo Rinaldi, as well as many other prizes. All artworks will also be exhibited as part of the final contest exhibition & reception that will take place on 8th August, during the Artists’ stay.  At this time the winning works will also be announced by the judging panel.
